Lawrence Greenspon is a human rights lawyer with the law firm Greenspon, Brown in Ottawa. He is a certified specialist in criminal and civil litigation. He is the President of the Defence Counsel of Ottawa. He is a past Chair of Reach (Resource Education Advocacy Committee for the Handicapped), Snowsuit Fund, and Multicultural Centre of Ottawa and he continues to work with many charitable organizations. He is a CAYFO Champion. He proudly coaches his daughter in hockey.
Dr. Qais Ghanem
Qais Ghanem graduated from the University of Edinburgh and is now with the faculty of medicine at Ottawa University , and is Director of the Neurophysiology Lab at the National Defence Medical Centre and Associate Director of the Sleep Centre at the Ottawa Hospital . He is past president of the Canadian Society of Clinical Neurophysiologists.
He is past president of the Arab Canadian University Graduates Association (ACUGA), and the Coalition of Arab Canadian Professionals and Community Associations (CAPCA). He is active with the Council of Canadians, Fair Vote Canada , No War Paix, Ontario Health Coalition and CANPALNET. He writes poetry in Arabic and English, on social and political issues.
